STRIPES SENTENCES
ACTIVITY
I like to
use this activity with my students at the beginning of the class as a warm up.
This is a
way to practice not only grammar structures related to the book and but also to
prepare the oral part of the Trinity exam.
I have
prepared coloured cardboard stripes of 5cm wide and 15/20 cm long, depending on
the length of the sentence or question.
I show them
and I ask one by one to refresh grammar and vocabulary, they have to answer if
it is a question or complete the sentences if it is a description. Some times I
ask individually and some others I divide the class into two groups and start a
competition.
At the end
if there is a winner one of the group will be the teacher and will show the
stripes.
